Shizuoka-ken

Shizuoka prefecture has Mount Fuji in the north and faces the Pacific Ocean in the south.
On lake Hamana, cultivation such as eel,　seaweed, oyster, and soft-shelled turtle are thriving.
Souvenirs related to eels, especiallry Eels Pie, are popular among tourists.
The Onsen Area, Atami and Shuzenji in the eastern prefecture, are also popular spots.
Shizuoka’s Specialties are famous for mandarin oranges, green tea, wasabi, boiled whitebait and sakura shrimp.
