At Nagaoka Fireworks festival, one of the three biggest fireworks festivals in Japan, the magnificent fireworks are spectacular.
Since the prefecture gets a heavy snowy in winter, there are many ski resorts such as Naeba, and you can enjoy winter sports.
Niigata’s specialty is famous for high quality rice, Japanese Sake and Maitake mushrooms.
